Privacy notice

This notice explains how Crew42 uses the personal information you give us through this website, mainly our enquiry form. We've kept it short and in plain English. If anything isn't clear, email hello@crew42.co.uk.
Who we are
This website is run by Crew42 Ltd, trading as Crew42, at 12-14 Moor Lane, Crosby, Liverpool L23 2UE. We're the "controller" of the information you send us, which means we decide how it's used.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry, we collect:
- your name
- your email address
- your phone number
- what you're interested in (for example Small Group PT, kids sessions or the 42-Day Challenge)
- anything you choose to write in the message box
Please don't include detailed medical information in the form. If there's something we should know before you train, a coach will talk it through with you.
If you message us on WhatsApp or by email, we'll also have the details you send that way.
If you're enquiring for a child, please give the parent or carer's details. We'll talk to you, not the child.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use your details to reply to your enquiry and help you choose the right session or plan. Under UK GDPR our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before you join (Article 6(1)(b)). Where you're asking on someone else's behalf, it's our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Article 6(1)(f)).
We won't send you marketing (for example offers or newsletters) unless you've agreed to it, and you can opt out at any time.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your information. We only share it with service providers who help us run the website and reply to you, such as our website hosting provider (the enquiry form is stored on our website platform) and our email provider. If you go on to book or join, your details are also held in the booking and membership systems we use to run your membership.
If you choose to contact us on WhatsApp, your messages are handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own terms.
These providers only use your information to provide their service to us. Some may store or process data outside the UK. Where that happens, we rely on the legal safeguards UK data protection law requires, such as UK adequacy regulations or UK-approved contract terms.
How long we keep it
If you don't join, we keep your enquiry for 2 years after our last contact with you, then delete it. If you become a member, your details move to our membership records and are kept for as long as you're a member and for any period afterwards that we need for legal or accounting reasons.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct it
- ask us to delete it
- object to or ask us to limit how we use it
- withdraw any consent you've given (for example to marketing)

Cookies
This website doesn't currently use analytics or advertising cookies. The platform may use small technical storage items it needs to load the site. If we add analytics in future, we'll update this notice and ask for your consent first.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first at hello@crew42.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/ or 0303 123 1113.
